A little more about the event:
What? On Feb. 15th, 1897, Florida saw the opening of its first locally owned and operated brewery in Tampa, Florida Brewing Co. In fact this was the first brewery located in the southeastern United States. While the brewery is no longer in operation, it was the starting point of a long and proud brewing tradition that continues to this day. To that end, we are recognizing Feb. 15th, 2016 the first ‘Craft Beer Day’, a day where we all can celebrate the economic, cultural, and societal impact that brewing has made in the Sunshine State.

When? Wednesday, February 15, 2017 6-8pm

Where? The building still stands with the Florida Brewing Co name still vaguely etched on the face of this historic location in Ybor City - 1234 E 5th Ave, Tampa, FL 33605 currently home to Swope, Rodante P.A.

It is the mission of the Brewmasters Club to use science and industry leading research to inspire learning in adult beer drinkers, local economies and support craft breweries. Our team, in coordination with local breweries, distributors and social media engagement leaders have invested a lot of time and energy into planning the Craft Beer Day initiative recognizing this day in history.
